1. Nature of This Service
Apple Valley Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections relevant to Apple Valley, Dakota County, and Minnesota. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a government office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use this service only for lawful purposes. You may not use this service or material reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
- Scrape, copy, or republish material from the service at scale
- Disrupt the service’s operation or security
3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Apple Valley Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither material here nor results from a linked search tool are consumer reports. They may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. External Services
Official routes such as Dakota County Property Information Search, RecordEASE, Minnesota Court Records Online, and MNVotes have their own rules and privacy practices. The same is true of sponsored search tools. We do not control an outside service’s content, availability, pricing, or data practices.
5. No Guarantees
The service is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that content is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will function or return correct results.
6. Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through one.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The service’s original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is permitted; republication of full pages or systematic copying is not.
9. Changes to Terms
These terms may be revised by posting an updated version here. Use of the service after that posting means the revised terms are accepted.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or restricted, without notice and at the operators’ discretion, when a user violates these terms or abuses the service.
11. Governing Law
Minnesota law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. ch. 13, supplies the public-data access framework for records held by governmental custodians. It does not govern every term of this private service or make Apple Valley Residents Directory a records custodian.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
